Brandon Woodruff signed a fresh 2-year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers, the team he's pitched for since 2017.
Woodruff had shoulder surgery in October 2023 and will miss the full 2024 season, rehabbing under his new Brewers deal.
When healthy, Woodruff is one of the NL's top starters, making back-to-back All-Star teams in 2019 and 2021.
The Brewers have won 4 of the last 5 NL Central titles and will expect a healthy Woodruff to contribute come 2025.
While it wasn't disclosed what Woodruff will earn, Milwaukee is supporting his recovery for a 2025 return.
If Woodruff rebounds successfully, he can re-enter free agency after 2025 with full health and value.
Alongside Corbin Burnes, Woodruff hopes to help Milwaukee regain dominance in a tough NL Central division down the road.
